Our story
We started Employee First Consulting because we've seen what happens when employees face workplace challenges alone.
We believe every employee deserves to be heard, supported, and equipped to navigate even the most difficult workplace situations.

Our story
Employee First Consulting was founded after witnessing firsthand how overwhelming and isolating workplace challenges can be — particularly when you're facing a powerful employer with access to HR professionals, lawyers, and internal processes designed to protect the organisation, not you.
With a background in workplace relations, HR, and employee advocacy, I established Employee First Consulting to give employees the same quality of support and preparation that organisations take for granted. Whether you're dealing with a performance improvement plan, workplace bullying, unfair dismissal, or simply need to understand your rights — you shouldn't have to face it alone.
I'm based in Canberra and work with clients across Australia via Zoom and telephone. My approach is practical, compassionate, and always focused on what matters most: your wellbeing and your outcome.
What drives us
Our mission
"To put employees first — providing the practical support, preparation, and advocacy that levels the playing field when it matters most."
Too often, employees enter HR meetings, disciplinary processes, and Fair Work proceedings without the preparation or knowledge they need. We exist to change that.
We don't take sides for the sake of it — we take your side because you deserve someone in your corner who understands the process, knows what to look for, and can help you respond effectively.
What we stand for
Our values
Employee first
Every decision we make is guided by what is best for the employee. We are not a neutral party — we are your advocate.
Practical support
We focus on what you can actually do. No jargon, no vague advice — just clear, actionable guidance tailored to your situation.
Confidentiality
Your situation is sensitive. Everything you share with us is treated with the strictest confidence, in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988.
Compassion
Workplace challenges are stressful and often deeply personal. We approach every client with empathy, patience, and genuine care.
Integrity
We are honest about what we can and cannot do. We will always tell you when you need a lawyer, and we will never overstate our services.
Accessibility
Quality workplace support should not be reserved for those who can afford a lawyer. Our services are designed to be accessible and affordable.
